  2. Anything by Dorothy Sayers is great and gets particularly (and intelligently) feminist after she introduces the detectives love interest in Strong Poison. Its also kind of mind blowing that all the feminist issues discussed in Gaudy Night, which takes place in a womens college at Oxford in the 1930s (when it was written), are still relevant today.
