HOW CAN SACRIFICE help You to get passed over
The Apocrypha
FIRST ESDRAS
Chapter 1
1 And Josias held the feast of the passover in Jerusalem unto his Lord, and offered the passover the fourteenth day of the first month; 2 Having set the priests according to their daily courses, being arrayed in long garments, in the temple of the Lord. 3 And he spake unto the Levites, the holy ministers of Israel, that they should hallow themselves unto the Lord, to set the holy ark of the Lord in the house that king Solomon the son of David had built: 4 And said, Ye shall no more bear the ark upon your shoulders: now therefore serve the Lord your God, and minister unto his people Israel, and prepare you after your families and kindreds, 5 According as David the king of Israel prescribed, and according to the magnificence of Solomon his son: and standing in the temple according to the several dignity of the families of you the Levites, who minister in the presence of your brethren the children of Israel, 6 Offer the passover in order, and make ready the sacrifices for your brethren, and keep the passover according to the commandment of the Lord, which was given unto Moses. 7 And unto the people that was found there Josias gave thirty thousand lambs and kids, and three thousand calves: these things were given of the king’s allowance, according as he promised, to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. 8 And Helkias, Zacharias, and Syelus, the governors of the temple, gave to the priests for the passover two thousand and six hundred sheep, and three hundred calves. 9 And Jeconias, and Samaias, and Nathanael his brother, and Assabias, and Ochiel, and Joram, captains over thousands, gave to the Levites for the passover five thousand sheep, and seven hundred calves. 10 And when these things were done, the priests and Levites, having the unleavened bread, stood in very comely order according to the kindreds, 11 And according to the several dignities of the fathers, before the people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses: and thus did they in the morning. 12 And they roasted the passover with fire, as appertaineth: as for the sacrifices, they sod them in brass pots and pans with a good savour, 13 And set them before all the people: and afterward they prepared for themselves, and for the priests their brethren, the sons of Aaron. 14 For the priests offered the fat until night: and the Levites prepared for themselves, and the priests their brethren, the sons of Aaron. 15 The holy singers also, the sons of Asaph, were in their order, according to the appointment of David, to wit, Asaph, Zacharias, and Jeduthun, who was of the king’s retinue. 16 Moreover the porters were at every gate; it was not lawful for any to go from his ordinary service: for their brethren the Levites prepared for them. 17 Thus were the things that belonged to the sacrifices of the Lord accomplished in that day, that they might hold the passover, 18 And offer sacrifices upon the altar of the Lord, according to the commandment of king Josias. 19 So the children of Israel which were present held the passover at that time, and the feast of sweet bread seven days. 20 And such a passover was not kept in Israel since the time of the prophet Samuel. 21 Yea, all the kings of Israel held not such a passover as Josias, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Jews, held with all Israel that were found dwelling at Jerusalem. 22 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josias was this passover kept. 23 And the works or Josias were upright before his Lord with an heart full of godliness. 24 As for the things that came to pass in his time, they were written in former times, concerning those that sinned, and did wickedly against the Lord above all people and kingdoms, and how they grieved him exceedingly, so that the words of the Lord rose up against Israel. We see that as passover sacrifice 30,000 lambs and kids, and 3,000 calves 2,600 sheep and 300 calves; another 5,000 sheep and 700 calves, have been given. This was a great sacrifice. Now we look at Wisdom of SALOMON (APOCRYPHS Weisheit Salomos 17,21 ): 5 And when they had determined to slay the babes of the saints, one child being cast forth, and saved, to reprove them, thou tookest away the multitude of their children, and destroyedst them altogether in a mighty water. 6 Of that night were our fathers certified afore, that assuredly knowing unto what oaths they had given credence, they might afterwards be of good cheer. 7 So of thy people was accepted both the salvation of the righteous, and destruction of the enemies. 8 For wherewith thou didst punish our adversaries, by the same thou didst glorify us, whom thou hadst called. 9 For the righteous children of good men did sacrifice secretly, and with one consent made a holy law, that the saints should be like partakers of the same good and evil, the fathers now singing out the songs of praise. The Flood Subsides
1 But aGod remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and bGod caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided. 2 Also athe fountains of the deep and the 1floodgates of the sky were closed, and bthe rain from the sky was restrained; 3 and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end aof one hundred and fifty days the water decreased. 4 In the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, athe ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. 5 The water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible. 6 Then it came about at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the awindow of the ark which he had made; 7 and he sent out a raven, and it 1flew here and there until the water was dried up 2from the earth. 8 Then he sent out a dove from him, to see if the water was abated from the face of the land; 9 but the dove found no resting place for the sole of her foot, so she returned to him into the ark, for the water was on the 1surface of all the earth. Then he put out his hand and took her, and brought her into the ark to himself. 10 So he waited yet another seven days; and again he sent out the dove from the ark. 11 The dove came to him toward 1evening, and behold, in her 2beak was a freshly picked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth. 12 Then he waited yet another seven days, and sent out athe dove; but she did not return to him again. 13 Now it came about in the asix hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water was dried up 1from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the 2surface of the ground was dried up. 14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry. 15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 „Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons‘ wives with you. 17 „Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you, birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may 1abreed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.“ 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons‘ wives with him. 19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out 1by their families from the ark. 20 Then Noah built aan altar to the Lord, and took of every bclean animal and of every clean bird and offered cburnt offerings on the altar. 21 The Lord asmelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said 1to Himself, „I will never again bcurse the ground on account of man, for cthe 2intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; dand I will never again 3destroy every living thing, as I have done. 22 „While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And asummer and winter, And bday and night Shall not cease.“ So we see, there is a principle, a highlighted pattern, how to get through a flood desease and to give a good smeeling dedicated gift tot he LORD. We learn in the new covenant, that GOD GAVE AS A SYCRIFICE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON. The following meditation has been included by Dr. Joseph Martin PhD Theology:
II Corinthians 5:14. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead.
(Weymouth) For the love of Christ overmasters us, the conclusion at which we have arrived being this—that One having died for all, His death was their death.
(Good News) We are ruled by the love of Christ, now that we recognize that one man died for everyone, which means that they all share in his death.
(Way) …to this conclusion have we come—One died for the sake of all: in Him then did all die.
(Conybeare) …if one died for all, then all died in Him.
(Jordan) …In a sense, then, we all died when He died for all.
(Laubach) …We know that Christ died for all of us. So our old self died with Him…
II Corinthians 5:19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
(Amplified) It was God (personally present) in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them]; and committing to us the message of reconciliation—of the restoration to favor.
(Wand) That ministry is based on the fact that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, wiping out the debit balance of our transgressions and setting His reconciliation to the credit of our account.
II Corinthians 5:21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
(Translator’s N.T.) …God made him to be sin itself on our behalf….
(Good News) …God made him share our sin….
(Jerusalem) For our sake God made the sinless one into sin….
(New English) …God made him one with the sinfulness of men….
(Knox) …God made Him into sin for us….
(Wade) Him who had no acquaintance with sin God for our sakes treated as an embodiment of Sin….
(Living Bible) For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins….
Galatians 2:20. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
(Jerusalem) I have been crucified with Christ, and I live now not with my own life but with the life of Christ who lives in me. The life I now live in this body I live in faith: faith in the Son of God Who loved me and sacrificed himself for my sake.
(Diaglott) I have been crucified together with Christ…who loved me even to delivering himself up on my behalf.
(Way) Yes, I have shared Messiah’s crucifixion. I am living indeed, but it is not I that live, it is Messiah whole life is in me….
(Laubach) …Christ took me to the cross with him, and I died there with him.
(Marshall) With Christ I have been co-crucified….
(ASV, NASV, RSV, NEB, NIV, Amplified, Weymouth, 20th Century, Williams, Worrell, Bible Union, many others) I have been crucified with Christ….
#² : We will begin part two with Galatians 2:20 where we left off in part one because it’s so important to your faith. In part two we will go a little further in your identification with Christ in His crucification. The cross is the center of all things in God. „The preaching of the cross is foolishness to them who perish, but it’s the power of God to us which are saved“ As before I have put all these different translations of these scriptures into a confession on the back of this sheet. If you will spend 15 or 20 minutes in the morning just saying this confession „out loud“ speaking to yourselves the word of the Cross, amassing things will begin. (Beck) I was crucified with Christ…. Galatians 6:14. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (Norlie) …On it the world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world. (RSV, NASV, NIV, Williams, Amplified, 20th Century, Marshall, Berkeley, Barclay, Moffatt, others) the world has been crucified to me…. Romans 6:6. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Way) This we recognize, that our former self was nailed to His cross with Him, so that the body which was the instrument of sin might be made impotent for evil, so that we could not any longer be slaves of sin. (20th Century) For we must recognize the fact that our old self was crucified with Christ, in order that our body may cease to be under the tyranny of Sin, so that we may no longer be slaves to Sin. (Translator’s N.T.) This we know, that our former self was crucified with him in order that our sinful self might be destroyed and that we might no longer be slaves of sin. (Good News) And we know that our old being has been put to death with Christ on his cross, in order that the power of the sinful self might be destroyed…. (Amplified) ….our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body which is the instrument of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil…. (Jordan) …so that the sinful nature may be wiped out, and we no longer need be addicted to sin. (Letchworth, Noli) …our old nature was crucified…. (Knox) …our former nature has been crucified with him…. (ASV, NASV, NIV, Marshall, Young, Norlie, Centenary, others) …was crucified…. (Moffatt, NEB, Fenton) …has been crucified….
#4: My confession of identification with Christ in His Burial. I was baptized into His death & shall also share His New GOD Life.
I was buried with Christ.
Romans 6:4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of Life.
(Living Bible) Your old sin-loving nature was buried with Him by baptism when He died, and when God the Father, with glorious power, brought Him back to life again, you were given His wonderful new life to enjoy. (Wade) Therefore we, sharing His Death through our baptismal immersion, were with Him laid in the grave, in order that, as Christ was raised to Life from among the dead, through His Father’s glorious Power, we, too, might pursue our course in the possession of fresh Life. (Jerusalem) In other words, when we were baptized we went into the tomb with him and joined him in death….
Romans 6:5. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.
(Authentic) For if we have become identified with the manner of his death, surely we shall be with his resurrection also. (Williams) For if we have grown into fellowship with Him by sharing a death like His, surely we shall share a resurrection life like His. (Translator’s N.T.) For if we have been identified with him in a death like his, we shall also be identified with him in a resurrection like his. (New Berkeley) For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, then the same must be true of our resurrection with Him. (Living Bible) For you have become a part of him, and so you died with him, so to speak, when he died; and now you share his new life, and shall rise as he did. (Jordan) For if we have been fellow plants in the garden of his death, we shall also be fellow plants in the garden of his risen life. Colossians 2:12. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.. I was made alive with Christ. (He was made alive in spirit before He was raised in body.)
Colossians 2:13. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
(Phillips) You, who were spiritually dead because of your sins and uncircumcision (that is, the fact that you were outside the Law), God has made to share in the very life of Christ! (Way) …–you God thrilled with that same new life of Jesus. (Knox) And in giving life to him, he gave life to you, too, when you lay dead in your sins…. (20th Century) … to you God gave Life in giving Life to Christ! (Marshall) …he co-quickened you with him….
My confession of identification with Christ in His Burial. I was baptized into His death & shall also share His New GOD Life.
THEREFORE WE ARE BURIED WITH HIM BY BABTISM: THAT LIKE AS CHRIST WAS RAISED UP FROM THE DEAD BY THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, EVEN SO WE ALSO SHOULD WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. MY OLD SIN LOVING NATURE WAS BURIED WITH HIM BY BABTISM WHEN HE DIED AND WHEN GOD THE FATHER, WITH GLORIOUS POWER, BROUGHT HIM BACK TO LIFE AGAIN, YOU WERE GIVEN HIS WONDERFUL NEW LIFE TO ENJOY. I SHARED HIS DEATH THROUGH OUR BABTISMAL IMMERSION, WERE WITH HIM LAID IN THE GRAVE, IN ORDER THAT, AS CHRIST WAS RAISED TO LIFE FROM AMONG THE DEAD, THROUGH HIS FATHERS GLORIOUS POWER, THAT BROUGHT HIM BACK TO LIFE AGAIN, I ALSO WAS GIVEN HIS WONDERFUL NEW LIFE TO ENJOY. IN OTHER WORDS, WHEN I WAS BABTIZED I WENT INTO THE TOMB WITH HIM AND JOINED HIM IN DEATH……. FOR IF I HAVE BEEN PLANTED TOGETHER IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS DESTH, I SHALL BE ALSO IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS RESURRECTION FOR IF I HAVE BECOME IDENTIFIED WITH THE MANNER OF HIS DEATH, SURLEY I SHALL BE ALSO IDENTIFIED WITH HIS RESURRECTION ALSO. FOR IF I HAVE GROWN INTO FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM BY SHARING A DEATH LIKE HIS, SURLEY I SHALL SHARE A RESURRECTION LIKE HIS. FOR IF I HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED WITH HIM IN A DEATH LIKE HIS, I SHALL ALSO BE IDENTIFIED WITYH HIM IN A RESURRECTION LIKE HIS ALSO. I HAVE BEEN UNITED WITH HIM IN A DEATH LIKE HIS, THEN THE SAME MUST BE TURE OF OUR RESURRECTION WITH HIM. FOR I HAVE BECOME A PART OF HIM, & SO I DIED WITH HIM, SO TO SPEAK, WHEN HE DIED AND NOW I SHARE HIS NEW LIFE AND SHALL RISE AS HE DID. FOR IF I HAVE BEEN A FELLOW PLANT IN THE GARDEN OF HS DEATH, I SHALL ALSO BE A FELLOW PLANT IN THE GARDEN OF HIS RISEN LIFE. YES I WAS BURIED WITH HIM IN BABTISM, WHEREIN ALSO I AM RISEN WITH HIM THROUGH THE FAITHOF THE OPERATION OF GOD WHO HATH RAISED HIM FROM AMONG THE DEAD. AND WHEN I WAS DEAD IN MY SINS AND THE UNCIRCUMCISION OF MY FLESH, HATH HE QUICKEND TOGETHER WITH HIM, HAVING FORGIVEN ME ALL TRESPASSES. ME WHO WAS SPIRITUALLY DEAD BECAUSE OF YOUR SINS AND UNCIRCUMCISION ( THAT IS THE FACT I WAS OUT SIDE THE LAW) GOD HAS MADE ME TO SHARE IN THE VERY LIFE OF CHRIST! ME HATH GOD THRILLED WITH THATSAME NEW LIFE OF JESUS. AND GIVING LIFE TO HIM, HE GAVE LIFE TO ME TOO WHEN I LAY DEAD IN MY SINS. TO ME GOD GAVE LIFE IN GIVING LIFE TO CHRIST. HE CO-QUICKENED ME TOGETHER WITH CHRIST!

The conclusion out of this is, that there is a great benefit coming from the cross.
In our ROSARY PRAYER CHAIN MEDITATION we celebrate this sacrifice daily.
POPE FRANCIS I. mentiones this on March 23rd 2013:
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/catholics-are-called-to-daily-martyrdom-says-pope/
WHEN I PRAY THE HOLY ROSARY CHAPLET DAILY, I DO IT WITH BURNING INCENSE AS AN HOLY SACRIFICE TO THE LORD.
TODAY, at JOHANNISDAY, i used a great peral of French Incense, MYRRH
and a special medical incence, used by APOTHEKERs to create better athmosphere and room climate.
As an heurethic conclusion we learn that as AFTER-FLOOD-DESEASE treatment
We can use the wisdom and knowledge of ancienc biblical context and transform mit into
Hermeneutical theaching for actual commandments on breaking news.
THIS WILL ALSO BE A HELP, TO GET HUMBLY AND CERTAIN
HOW TO DECIDE IN POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND ACCORDING TO CHURCH PRACTICE.
IF WE DO SO, WE ARE AGINST NO LAW, but dealing with an good salvation in LOVE AND PEACE.
